Job summary

Ascension's Respiratory Care team at Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Night Shift, Full-time Respiratory Therapist to deliver specialized respiratory care, evaluate and adjust treatment plans, and educate patients and families in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include managing complex modalities, monitoring real-time patient conditions, and participating in urgent response resuscitation efforts with the care team.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire or transfer date.
• RCP credentialing from Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners Certification Program required before hire date or temporary license accepted until issued.
• NBRC Registered credential required before hire date or transfer date.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional/temporary license will be accepted until license is issued.
• Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
