Deborah is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders in an acute care setting. Under clinical direction, you will perform diagnostics, therapies, monitoring and rehabilitation while contributing to care plans with physicians and the health team.
The role involves teaching patients and families, participating in research or resident education, and precepting students or new orientees as needed.
Provides respiratory care services to patients with disorders of the cardiopulmonary system. Under qualified medical direction, performs diagnostic testing, therapeutics, monitoring, and rehabilitation. Participates in the development of patient’s appropriate plans of care in conjunction with physicians and other members of the health care team. Partakes in research projects, preceptor for students and new orientees; conducts patient and family education activities.
1-3 years critical care experience.
Graduate of approved Respiratory Program, completed 62 semester hours of college credit; Bachelor’s Degree desirable.
Strong computer skills: Windows, Microsoft Word, Meditech.
Contacts with other departments, furnishing or obtaining information or reports, requiring tact and discretion in order to obtain cooperation.
The minimum starting rate for this position is $50.00.
