RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Per Diem Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Care department at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. The role focuses on bedside respiratory care, ventilator management, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NBRC-approved School of Respiratory Care.
• CRT or RRT certification through NBRC.
• Current New Jersey State Respiratory Care License.
• Successful completion of all required orientation and onboarding programs.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsabilités

• Perform basic and advanced respiratory therapy procedures within the scope of respiratory patient care services.
• Assess patients and provide respiratory treatments based on physician orders and clinical protocols.
• Transcribe and implement physician orders accurately and efficiently.
• Administer oxygen therapy and monitor patient response.
• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify changes in patient condition and adjust care as appropriate.
• Manage and monitor patients requiring ventilator support.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in the EMR.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Current New Jersey State Respiratory Care License.
• Successful completion of all required orientation and onboarding programs.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain per organizational requirements).
