Job summary

Intermountain Health in Grand Junction, CO seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams with high image quality and patient-centered care. You will collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and staff, maintaining ARRT competency and strict safety standards.

You will ensure accurate patient identification, prepare patients for exams, and operate equipment per protocol while educating patients and supporting infection control and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• Radiologic technologist license in state of practice (if applicable).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• May be required to complete MA Competency Checklist and perform the MA function in a clinic or InstaCare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Prepares the patient for the exam and verifies proper patient identification.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality.
• Instructs students and other Radiology Techs in exam protocols and equipment.
• Provides patient education and addresses concerns, ensuring comfort.
