Job summary

Intermountain Health in Grand Junction, Colorado, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams, maintain quality images, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals, ensure patient comfort, and mentor students while adhering to department protocols and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and state licensure required or pending where applicable.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• May be required to complete MA Competency Checklist and function as MA in a clinic or InstaCare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Verify patient identity, verify orders, and prepare the patient for the exam.
• Perform exams per department protocol; review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
• Complete studies within acceptable time limits without compromising care or quality.
• Assist and instruct students and other Radiology Techs in protocols and equipment.
• Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operate equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keep accurate records of patient information and procedures.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, and QC.
