Job summary

Intermountain Health at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams and maintain ARRT competency. You will ensure proper patient identification, follow safety protocols, and deliver high-quality images in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with radiologists and care teams, assist students, educate patients, and uphold infection control and equipment standards while keeping timely, accurate records.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required for practice.
• Radiologic technologist license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT or modality competency in clinical/technical functions.
• Ensure proper patient identification and order verification.
• Prepare patient for the exam and perform exams per protocol.
• Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain safety.
• Complete studies within acceptable time limits without sacrificing care.
• Assist and instruct students and other radiology staff.
• Provide patient education, comfort, and address concerns.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operate equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keep accurate records of patient information and procedures.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charges, consents, QC, and equipment issues.
