Job summary

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required for radiology practice.
• State radiologic technologist license in practice area.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• May be required to complete the MA Competency Checklist and function as MA in clinic settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical/technical functions.
• Identify patients, verify orders, and prepare for exams with safety in mind.
• Perform exams per protocol, review images for quality and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Assist and instruct students and other radiology staff in protocols and equipment.
• Provide patient education, comfort, and address concerns as needed.
• Record patient data, procedures, and any adverse reactions accurately.
• Follow coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and report equipment failures.
