Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist to work the Night shift in the Sleep Services department. You will provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, perform in-center and out-of-center sleep testing, and educate patients.

You will oversee staff, monitor data, score sleep stages per AASM, generate accurate reports, ensure equipment calibration and infection control, and maintain credentialing requirements across neonatal to geriatric

Qualifications

• Must hold NBRC-SDS or RPSGT or RST credential.
• BLS or ARC-BLS or BLS-I certification required.
• Additional SDS credential for RRT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedural protocols for sleep studies including MSLT, MWT, parasomnia studies, PAP and oxygen titration.
• Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events per AASM standards.
• Generate accurate reports from sleep study data and oversee data collection.
• Provide patient education for out-of-center sleep testing.
• Maintain infection control and cleaning/disinfection procedures for monitoring devices.
