Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Registered Pharmacist for our Pharmacy department in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and support the pharmacy team while engaging with the community through wellness programs and outreach.

Responsibilities include immunizations, inventory control, and collaboration with store leadership to promote health services. A college degree and pharmacy licensure are required, with MTM experience preferred and HIPAA compliance emphasized.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; must maintain continuing education to keep license active
• 6 months to 1 year of similar or related work experience required
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred
• Ability to administer immunizations required

Responsibilities

• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients in accordance with OBRA '90 regulations and all state and federal statutes and regulations
• Assist with controlled substance inventory and annual balance
• Assist with inventory control including ordering, stocking merchandise, checking invoices, and entering inventory information
• Build growth and sales through counseling and wellness programs
• Visit schools, doctor's offices, and senior centers to market pharmacy services
• Administer immunizations as certified
• Maintain confidentiality of customers' private medical information and prescription drug pricing (HIPAA)
