Job summary

Hy-Vee Inc. seeks a licensed Registered Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team in Iowa. You will fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and support the pharmacy staff while contributing to wellness programs.

You will administer immunizations where certified, maintain license CE requirements, and ensure compliance with HIPAA, OBRA and all regulations. A strong customer-service focus is essential.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required.
• Must maintain continuing education to keep license active.
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred; immunizations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients per OBRA '90 regulations and state/federal laws.
• Assist with controlled substance inventory and inventory management.
• Support pharmacy team and participate in education and training of staff.
• Visit schools, doctors' offices, and senior centers to promote pharmacy services.
• Build growth and sales through counseling and wellness programs.
• Adhere to HIPAA and protect patient confidentiality.
