Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide direct rehab care in occupational therapy to patients upon physician referral, in accordance with laws and Life Care standards.

The candidate should be NBCOT certified, licensed in the state, and have an accredited OT degree (BSOT/MSOT); CPR is required. One year of experience is preferred, and new grads are welcome to apply. Strong computer and teamwork skills are important.

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification upon hire and active licensure in the applicable state.
• Graduation from an accredited OT program (BSOT or MSOT).
• Current CPR certification upon hire or during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Follow occupational treatment plans for patients (activities of daily living).
• Establish, assess, and modify measurable, timely goals.
• Oversee and evaluate care by OTAs, Rehab Aides, and students.
• Chart patient records accurately and timely.
• Use therapy software and provide excellent patient service.
• Assist in patient evacuation when needed.
• Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Use sound reasoning and good judgment in duties.
• Collaborate effectively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Perform required physical activities during shifts (lift, bend, stand, etc.).
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
