Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide direct rehab care to patients under physician referral in a post-acute setting in Massachusetts. The role requires NBCOT certification, active state licensure, and CPR certification, with new grads welcome.

The OT will collaborate with patients and families, coordinate with other departments, and ensure compliance with Life Care standards while maintaining patient rights and safety.

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification upon hire or during orientation
• Graduate of an accredited OT program (BSOT or MSOT)
• Current state license; maintain active licensure throughout employment
• One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate
• Liaises with patients, families, and support departments to plan for patient needs
• Follow occupational treatment plans for patients (ADLs)
• Establish and modify measurable goals for patient care
• Oversee and evaluate care by OTAs and rehab staff
• Chart appropriately and timely; maintain confidentiality
• Communicate effectively on an interdisciplinary team
• Adhere to department policies and professional standards
