Job summary

Edgecombe Health Center by Harborview in North Carolina is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a skilled nursing setting.

You will supervise CNAs, collaborate with the IDT to develop and review care plans, complete assessments on schedule, and prepare for physician rounds. Nursing duties align with policy and standards, with opportunities for professional growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing in the state of practice.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support CNAs under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (IDT) to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Ensure initial baseline and periodic comprehensive assessments are completed on time.
• Prepare for and facilitate physician rounds by flagging concerns and preparing documentation for review.
• Initiate consultations or referrals as appropriate based on resident needs.
• Perform administrative tasks including medical documentation, evaluations, and reports.
• Deliver nursing care within scope of practice and aligned with facility policy and clinical standards.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition (e.g., confusion, fever, breathing difficulty, pain, appetite changes, mobility loss) and notify providers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
