Job summary

Centerpoint Health-Georgetown is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor & Delivery. The role involves 3x12 night shifts, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a 2-year commitment.

Join a team dedicated to high-quality obstetric care in Georgetown, KY. Current RN licensure, ADN required; BSN preferred; BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred; Handle with Care preferred.

• ACLS, PALS, NRP, and Handle with Care preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration and other clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Provides patient education appropriate to age and condition.
• Advocates for patient well-being and participates in quality improvement.

The labor and delivery suites at Centerpoint Health Women & Babies - Georgetown are thoughtfully designed to provide a calm, comfortable and secure environment for our patients birthing experience. Each private suite blends modern medical technology with a warm, home-like atmosphere to help you feel relaxed and supported.

How you'll contribute

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

• Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
