Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a registered nurse to deliver direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and coordinate discharge planning within a team setting.

The role requires Massachusetts nursing licensure, BLS, ACLS in certain units, and PALS/NRP where applicable. A BSN is highly preferred and experience with patient care standards will be valued.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
• Ability to perform patient assessment and reassessment.
• Experience in planning and coordinating patient care including discharge planning.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate nursing care within a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care in the assigned setting.
• Delegates tasks appropriately according to competency and role.
