Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg Neuro department in Milwaukee, WI. This full-time role covers weekend schedules at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital, delivering compassionate, evidence-based care for neuro patients and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
You will assess and monitor patients, educate families, and plan discharge to ensure safe transitions home. Requires Wisconsin RN licensure and BLS certification; hospital experience in stroke/neuro preferred.

Lead the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based care for patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and surgeries, ensuring clinical excellence at every bedside.
Coordinate the multidisciplinary care journey by acting as the central hub between physicians, therapists, and families to ensure a seamless and safe recovery process.
Monitor and interpret patient clinical status with high precision, proactively identifying changes in condition to ensure rapid intervention and high‑quality outcomes.
Empower patients and their families through dedicated education and discharge planning, ensuring they have the tools and confidence they need for a successful transition home.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi‑state/Compact State.
