Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking qualified RN Travel Nurses to join a flexible, multi-site team across Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois. The role offers guaranteed hours, a $65 hourly rate, and a $10,000 sign-on incentive for eligible ED specialty applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Dual licensure required: Illinois and a Compact State for IA/WI.
• Must obtain/maintain dual licensure if not currently dual-licensed (within 90 days).
• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in care provision.
• Float to nursing units within the UnityPoint Health enterprise.
• Support ethical standards and ANA Code in daily practice.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and implement plans of care.
• Ensure compliance with hospital procedures and competency requirements.

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program

Current RN licensure in good standing

Illinois licensure required

Compact State licensure for IA/WI

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Conducts all aspects of the job in an ethical manner in support of the hospital's commitment to ethical behavior in all areas of personal and professional activity
• Assists nursing with plan of care development and integrates a multidisciplinary approach
• Delegates tasks and responsibilities to other department associates and assumes responsibility for follow-up and collaboration
• Implements Nursing procedures according to departmental standards, hospital protocol and procedures and within scope of practice
• Continually evaluates outcomes of Nursing care by assessing patient/family responses and updating patient care to reflect changes in needs
• Successfully completes the hospital and department orientation and the annual hospital and department specific competencies

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Dual licensure is required for this position:
• Licensure in the state of Illinois
• Licensure in a Compact State to enable practice in Iowa and Wisconsin.
• New hires who are not dual licensed in will have 90 days from date of hire to obtain and submit proof of dual licensure. (Proof of application for dual licensure is acceptable within the 90 day window if licensure processing has not been completed at the state level).
• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Unit specific additional functions will be addressed in the competency checklist specific to the assigned unit.
