Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for Cornell 2 – our Medical Oncology Unit in Charlottesville, VA. This full-time night shift (12 hours) includes a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5/1:6 and comprehensive orientation and ongoing professional development.

Under the direction of the department manager, you will provide clinical leadership, lead safety initiatives, and help improve efficiency and staff satisfaction.

Qualifications

• BSN required or MSN preferred.
• RN license required; BLS within 90 days of hire.
• 18 months of acute care RN experience required.
• Post-surgical area experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in the department.

We care for a diverse patient population, including those with CHF, COPD, oncology patients with neutropenia or new diagnoses, and amputations.
