Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cornell 3 Medical Surgical Unit in Charlottesville, VA. This full-time day shift (12 hours) supports a 24-bed unit focused on GI care, with a favorable patient-to-nurse ratio and opportunities for skill development.

Ideal candidates have acute care RN experience, a BSN preferred, and must hold an RN license with BLS within 90 days of hire. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• 1 year of acute care RN experience (preferred).
• Med/Surg experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; RN licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, interventions, and evaluation.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary team and ensure effective communication.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and post-discharge care.
