DAYS - 12 HRS

Stepdown / Intermediate Care

Requirements:

• 18 months of previous RN ICU, Stepdown / Intermediate care experience REQUIRED
• Meets and maintains requirements defined by specific specialty
• Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire
• All direct care RNs required to have BLS within 90 days of hire

Education: BSN or MSN REQUIRED

Certifications and Licensure:

• RN License valid to practice in the State of Virginia
• Possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas

The RN Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager, leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on workflow efficiency, and contributes to staff development. Aims to increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent customer service.
