Job summary

University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH is seeking a registered nurse for a full-time home health role with 100% travel to patient homes. You will provide age-specific nursing care using the nursing process to help patients and families reach optimal health status.

Requires Ohio RN license (or Multi-State Compact) and BLS; ACLS/PALS may be required by unit. A $6,000 sign-on bonus is available to external hires with 1+ year RN experience.

Qualifications

• Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
• Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.
• Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.

• Full time 40 per week.
• Monday-Friday with rotating weekends and holidays.
• 100% travel to the patients homes for care.
• Will support Samaritan/Ashland and surrounding areas.

Sign-on Bonus: This position is eligible for a$6000 sign-on bonusto eligible candidates. Eligible candidates must be newly hired to UH and have at least 1yr of RN experience.

University Hospitals is offering a$6,000 sign on bonus,minus applicable taxes, for designated regular full-time RN positions to experienced RN’s (1 years or more) hired externally.

Internal Applicants are not eligible for the sign on bonus.

• Other Accredited Program: Diploma in Nursing or
• (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• (MN) Master in Nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing process and practice.
• Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (i.e. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
• Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License Required Upon Hire and
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required Upon Hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
• Refer to ACLS/PALS Unit Requirements document found on DWP Nursing Portal to determine requirements by unit.
