Qualifications

• ADN or higher in nursing required

• Proficient with electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythm and vital signs, identify distress or abnormal patterns
• Administer medications and interventions per medical plan
• Collaborate with providers to adjust care plan for cardiac status
• Educate patients and families on heart health and home care instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation of condition, treatment and progress

• 1 year experience in cardiac telemetry or other cardiac care setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Skilled in EKG rhythm interpretation and other cardiac monitoring techniques
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythm and other critical vital signs, interpreting data to identify any signs of distress or abnormal patterns
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to the medical plan of care
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to evaluate and modify the plan of care as necessary, with a focus on patient's cardiac status
• Educate patients and their families on best practices for heart health, treatment plans, and any relevant home care instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient's condition, treatment, and progress in accordance with hospital and departmental policies
