The Registered Nurse, Telehealth, provides telephonic triage, patient care advice for general and specific illnesses, health issues, counseling, advocacy, education, and referrals. This role offers remote clinical advice within license and technological capabilities. Collaboration with primary caregivers and interdisciplinary teams is essential.

This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday - Friday, 4:30 PM - 12:30 AM EST.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities

1. Connect with patients via phone or video, interviewing and recording health histories.
2. Provide health assessments, monitor patient health, assist in emergencies, and promote wellness.
3. Monitor oxygen levels, heart rate, respiration, blood glucose, and other assessments as technology allows.
4. Identify symptoms via video chat, analyze data, and determine appropriate health outcomes.
5. Collaborate with on-call PCPs to support clinical outcomes and implement protocols.
6. Document progress and interventions clearly, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through telemedicine.
7. Enhance telehealth practices and nursing professionalism through effective utilization and improvement.
8. Use resources to plan and deliver safe, effective, and cost-efficient services.
9. Perform other duties as assigned and modified by the manager.

Education and Experience

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred
• Multistate Nurse Licensure required; licenses for Michigan and Illinois within 90 days
• Spanish fluency required
• At least 2 years of ER or triage nursing experience required
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required; 3+ years of acute clinical nursing preferred
• 1+ year virtual care experience preferred
