Powers Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Community Surgery Center in Munster, IN to work day shifts with on-call responsibilities. The role is part-time (benefit eligible) with 64-hour pay periods and 0.8 FTE.

The RN will provide peri-operative nursing care, collaborate with the surgical team, and ensure patient safety and quality care. Indiana licensure, CPR, and surgical/endoscopy experience are preferred; BSN is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Indiana nursing licensure or eligibility.
• BSN preferred.
• Maintains CPR certification and other required credentials.
• 1-2 years surgery/endoscopy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide peri-operative nursing care as part of the surgical team.
• Implement, direct, document the nursing process and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain standards of care and support Powers Health policies and mission.

Registered Nurse Job, 8 hour Days Shifts (9a-5:30p/ 10a-6:30p) with call, Community Surgery Center-Surgery

Powers Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Community Surgery Center to work Days at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.

The Community Surgery Center Surgery Unit is an embodied staff of nurses who shall render professional nursing care to patients of all ages. The RN Functions as a member of the surgical team to deliver peri-operative care to the surgical patient.

Registered Nurse Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process.
• Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates.
• Practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy ofPHby providing the highest quality care.
• Provides for the well-being of the community, services the needs of all people and demonstrates the values: dignity, compassionate care, community, quality and stewardship.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
• BSN preferred.
• Obtains and maintains current certification as required in specialty areas.
• Obtains and maintains current CPR.
• 1-2 years experience in Surgery/Endoscopy preferred.
