Job summary

Powers Health in Munster, IN is hiring a Staff RN for the Non-invasive Cardiology unit on a full-time day shift. The RN will implement the nursing process, ensure patient safety, and document care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited nursing degree with Indiana licensure; BSN is preferred, CPR certification, and completion of required orientation. Commitment to compassionate care is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Indiana nursing licensure.
• BSN preferred but not required.
• Completion of Powers Health orientation programs.
• Maintain required specialty certifications.
• Maintain current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Implement, direct, communicate and document the nursing process.
• Provide a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Care for patients in non-invasive cardiology while adhering to standards.

Education

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

The Staff RN is responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process and provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates. The nurse practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of Powers Health by providing the highest quality care in the most cost-efficient manner. The RN provides for the well-being of the community, services the needs of all people and demonstrates values: dignity, compassionate care, community, quality and stewardship.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
• BSN preferred.
• Successful completion of the Powers Health Personnel and Nursing Orientation Programs.
• Obtains and maintains current certification as required in specialty areas.
• Obtains and maintains current CPR certification.
