Job summary

Powers Health is hiring an RN for the IV Therapy Team to work evenings at Community Hospital in Munster, IN. This is a full-time position: 3-11:30 pm with a day fill (5:30 am-2:00 pm) every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays.

The IV Therapy Team provides IV care across the hospital, with duties including implementing the nursing process, ensuring patient safety, and documenting care in accordance with policies and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active Indiana RN license.
• BSN preferred; CPR certification required.
• IV therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and document nursing care using the nursing process.
• Maintain patient safety and a supportive environment for patients and staff.
• Adhere to standards of care, policies, and professional guidelines.

Powers Health is hiring an RN for the IV Team to work evenings at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.

The IV Therapy Team is a team of specially trained nurses that visit patients throughout Community Hospital to provide various IV assistance.

Registered Nurse Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process.
• Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates.
• Practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy ofPHby providing the highest quality care.
• Provides for the well-being of the community, services the needs of all people and demonstrates the values: dignity, compassionate care, community, quality and stewardship.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
• BSN preferred.
• Obtains and maintains current certification as required in specialty areas.
• Obtains and maintains current CPR.
• IV experience preferred.
