Ohio Valley Manor Care Community in Ripley, OH seeks an experienced nursing leader to supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, ensuring high-quality resident care and timely care delivery.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure.

  • 2–3 years of nursing experience, with ≥1 year in leadership.

Responsibilities

Salary Range: $34.00 - $38.25 hourly

Travel Percentage: None

Job Shift: Day Shift - 12 hour

Leadership and Supervision
  • Supervise and manage nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs) ensuring high‑quality care
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and offer coaching and professional development opportunities
  • Address staffing issues such as call‑offs and provide timely solutions to ensure proper coverage and delivery of care
Patient Care and Management
  • Oversee the care of residents, ensuring each receives individualized, comprehensive care per their care plan
  • Conduct assessments of residents’ conditions and update care plans accordingly
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care
  • Provide direct nursing care when necessary, such as administering medications, treatments, and performing clinical procedures
Compliance and Documentation
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including nursing care standards, infection control protocols, and resident rights
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system per regulatory and facility standards
  • Conduct regular audits of clinical documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Prepare for and participate in facility inspections, surveys, and audits, implementing corrective actions when needed
Quality Assurance and Improvement
  • Monitor and assess the quality of care provided, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives, including infection control measures, fall prevention programs, and pressure sore management
  • Regularly review resident outcomes, care processes, and staff performance, making recommendations for improvements in care delivery
Resident and Family Relations
  • Address resident and family concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to facility leadership when necessary
  • Ensure residents’ dignity, privacy, and personal preferences are respected, and that they are treated with compassion and professionalism
Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborate with other department heads and healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive holistic care
  • Communicate regularly with staff, residents, and families regarding changes in care plans, treatments, or overall health status
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care meetings, care planning sessions, and quality assurance discussions
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing)
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Experience: Minimum of 2‑3 years of nursing experience, preferably in long‑term care or healthcare setting, with at least 1 year in a leadership or management role
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities
    • Excellent clinical assessment, care planning, and problem‑solving skills
    • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, prioritizing tasks in a fast‑paced environment
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
    • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation
