Loyola Medicine is hiring for a full-time Day Shift in the 3W Observation/Medical Stroke Med Surg Unit at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital. The 21-bed unit emphasizes teamwork, critical thinking, and high-quality patient care, with a 48-hour to 4-day average length of stay and care for adults with stroke, infectious, and other medical conditions.

The role requires a nursing diploma (BSN or ADN), BLS certification, and an IL nursing license prior to hire.

Qualifications

• A Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing is required - BSN or ADN.
• BLS provider (American Heart Association) required prior to hire.
• Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire.
• 1 year of inpatient Nursing Experience preferred.

Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift Description: This is a Full Time Day Shift position, every third weekend

The (3W) Observation/Medical Stroke Med Surg Unit is an exciting fast-paced 21 bed unit located on the 3rd floor of Gottlieb Memorial Hospital. All rooms are private and are centrally monitored if clinically indicated. To work in the Observation Unit, our nurses need strong assessment skills, the ability to think critically and adapt to new challenges, along with strong communication skills to care for our patient population and work with our interdisciplinary teams. As an Observation unit we are dedicated to our patients by providing quality care with attention to clinical expertise, evidence-based practices, patient safety and positive outcomes.

Our patient population includes but is not limited to care of the adult patient with a variety of medical diagnoses of the neurological stroke, infectious disease, other medical conditions, and some cardiac conditions. Patients on our unit may have an average length of stay of 48 hours to four days. We utilize an interdisciplinary team approach along the continuum of care in an effort to provide balance for the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs for every patient and their family.

BSN Pay Range: $36.05 - $59.92 per hour

ADN Pay Range: $32.97 - $57.06 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
