Job summary

Sunterra Springs Independence MO is seeking amazing nurses to join our team in our Independence facility. The NOC shift runs 6P-6A, with a Day shift 6A-6P and rotating weekends. You will care for 19 residents, manage IVs, wounds, assessments, discharges, admissions, and medications with help from 2 CNAs.

Nursing management is available for support in a fast-paced environment. This is a PT/OT/Nursing rehab role focusing on resident well-being, safety, and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Missouri RN license.
• Proven clinical assessment skills to meet job requirements.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and regulatory guidelines for long-term care.
• Effective interpersonal skills to work with an interdisciplinary care team.
• Basic computer skills including email use.
• Strong written and oral communication, plus problem-solving ability.
• Ability to relate positively with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a group of residents.
• Assess resident needs and develop individual care plans.
• Perform nursing duties including IVs, wound care, discharges, admissions and medications.
• Supervise CNAs and coordinate with nursing management for support.
• Maintain fast-paced efficiency while ensuring safety and quality of care.

This position is responsible for the delivery of care to a group of residents in a nursing unit, including assessing resident needs, development of individual care plans, administering nursing care, and supervising Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) activities and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care.

Required Skills

• A current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an (RN) Registered Nurse in Missouri
• Demonstrate clinical assessment skills at the level necessary to meet the job requirements.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
• Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with an interdisciplinary care team.
• Basic understanding of computer technology, including email use.
• Proven written and oral communication skills.
• Proven decision-making and analytical skills.
• Able to relate positively, favorably, and cooperatively with others, including employees, residents, family members, and personnel of outside agencies and organizations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
