Job summary

Harborview-Health-Systems in Tarboro, NC is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and supervise CNAs under the Director of Nursing. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.

The role includes ensuring timely assessments, preparing for physician rounds, and documenting medical information. Prior experience in long-term care is preferred, and the organization offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing in the state of practice.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is preferred but not required—we’ll invest in the right heart and mindset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support CNAs under the Director of Nursing.
• Collaborate with the IDT to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Ensure initial baseline and periodic comprehensive assessments are completed on time.
• Prepare for physician rounds by flagging concerns and preparing documentation for review.
• Initiate consultations or referrals as appropriate based on resident needs.
• Perform administrative tasks including medical documentation, evaluations, and reports.
• Deliver nursing care within scope of practice and aligned with facility policy and clinical standards.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and notify providers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
