Job summary

Senior Lifestyle in Auburn, ME is seeking a Registered Nurse to oversee daily clinical activities and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. The role includes medication supervision, patient admissions, and development of care plans within a supportive team environment.

The successful candidate will hold an active RN license in good standing, have CPR certification, and at least 1 year of experience in skilled, sub-acute, or memory care settings.

Responsibilities

• Communicate changes in residents’ health to physicians and families.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in safety plans.
• Provide resident/staff education and keep confidentiality.

This individual is responsible for the daily clinical aspect functioning to meet all residents' needs.

Job Description

• Responsible for medication supervision/administration in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.
• May be responsible for the admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation.
• Responsible for completing acute and long-term care plans or service plans.
• May be responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e. wounds or infection control) under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
• May be responsible for discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as indicated.
• Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.
• Notify physicians and/or family members of any change in resident's health and provides proper documentation.
• Respond quickly to all emergencies.
• Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents' and prospective residents' information.
• Understand role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.

Qualifications

Level of Formal Education: An Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school: or Two years related experience and/or training equivalent combination of education and applicable experience.

Area of Study: Nursing

Years of Experience: 1+ years

Type of Experience: skilled, sub-acute, or memory care setting

Special Certifications: Must have a Registered Nurse's License current, with no judgments against it, in the state in which he/she is practicing and must be CPR certified

Language Skills: Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and applicable third parties.

Technical Competencies: Basic computer skills
