Job summary

Senior Lifestyle Corporation in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a registered nurse to oversee medication supervision and care planning for residents in a skilled, sub-acute, or memory care setting.

You will perform admissions, assess needs, develop acute and long-term care plans, and document accordingly while coordinating with the nursing director and other departments. CPR certified and RN license required; English fluency essential.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Associate degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in skilled, sub-acute, or memory care setting.
• CPR certification required.
• English language proficiency to communicate with staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medication supervision/administration in compliance with regulations and guidelines.
• May handle admissions assessments and documentation for new residents.
• Develop acute and long-term care plans or service plans.
• Track clinical systems (e.g., wound/infection control) under the Director of Nursing.
• Manage discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as needed.
• Provide health-related consultations within the community.
• Notify physicians/family of health changes and document appropriately.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and maintain confidentiality.
• Educate residents and staff; participate in Safety & Disaster Plan activities.
• Maintain collaboration with all departments and staff.

• Responsible for medication supervision/administration in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.
• May be responsible for the admissions of new residents to include all admission assessments and documentation.
• Responsible for completing acute and long-term care plans or service plans.
• May be responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e. wounds or infection control) under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
• May be responsible for discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as indicated.
• Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.
• Notify physicians and/or family members of any change in resident’s health and provides proper documentation.
• Respond quickly to all emergencies.
• Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
• Understand role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.

Qualifications

Level of Formal Education: An Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school: or Two years related experience and/or training equivalent combination of education and applicable experience.

Area of Study: Nursing

Years of Experience: 1+ years

Type of Experience: skilled, sub-acute, or memory care setting

Special Certifications: Must have a Registered Nurse's License current, with no judgments against it, in the state in which he/she is practicing and must be CPR certified

Language Skills: Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and applicable third parties.

Technical Competencies: Basic computer skills
