Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Ambulatory Wound Center team, providing clinical care, care management and patient/family education to promote healing.

The role collaborates with the treatment provider, requires CT RN license and ADN or Diploma in Nursing (BSN preferred), and emphasizes wound assessment, dressings and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• ADN or Diploma in Nursing required.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience including wound assessment and dressings.
• Greater than 2 years of progressive wound skill experience in acute care, home care or ambulatory site preferred.
• Active Registered Nurse license in CT required.
• Wound Care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care, care management and patient/family education to support the healing of acute and chronic wounds, in collaboration with the provider treatment team.

The Registered Nurse in one of our Ambulatory Wound Centers provides clinical care, care management and patient/family education to support the healing of acute and chronic wounds, in collaboration with the provider treatment team.

Qualifications

• ADN, Diploma in Nursing required, BSN preferred
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience with a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical experience including wound assessment and dressings
• >2 years of progressive wound skill experience in acute care, home care or ambulatory site preferred
• Prior wound care training preferred
• Active Registered Nurse license in CT required
• Wound Care certification preferred
