Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a WOC Nurse Leader at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT. The role collaborates with an inter professional team to provide clinical support, consultation, and education for wound, ostomy, and continence patients, and to enhance nursing practice with patient-centered planning.

The ideal candidate holds a CT RN license, Board Certification in WOC, and a Master’s in Nursing or APRN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in nursing.
• 2 years acute care nursing experience.
• CT RN License.
• Board Certified in Wound, Ostomy and Continence.
• Masters in Nursing or APRN preferred.
• CT APRN License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the inter professional team to provide clinical support, consultation and education related to patients with pressure injuries, wounds of other etiologies, ostomies and other selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary and integumentary systems.
• Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff.
• Incorporate patient specific needs into planning and provision of care.
