Job summary

Maria Parham Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Women’s Services at the Henderson, NC hospital. The role focuses on direct patient care within the Women’s Services department, following the nursing process, with emphasis on safety and compassionate care.

The position offers a night-shift, full-time schedule (7:00 pm–7:00 am) with a sign-on bonus up to $20,000, plus a commitment bonus. Reporting to the Director or Manager of Women’s Services, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license (single state) or compact.
• ASN from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required).
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year RN experience in hospital Labor and Delivery or Medical/Surgical setting.
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification (required).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required).
• If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new primary state of residence before employment begins.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in the Women's Services Department using the nursing process.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition with the care team.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Delivers patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for patients' physical and emotional well-being.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
• ACLS and PALS (preferred)
• Minimum of six months to one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital Labor and Delivery or Medical/Surgical setting is required.
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification (required)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required)
• Active North Carolina RN license (single state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins
