Job summary

The Greens at Gastonia is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Weekend Warrior Supervisor to lead our weekend nursing team in Gastonia, NC. This full-time role focuses on 16-hour weekend shifts with added Weekend Warrior pay and a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

You will supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, oversee resident care, collaborate with physicians and families, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Join a Great Place to Work Certified facility that supports growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current NC RN license (active, unencumbered).
• Current CPR certification.
• Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience preferred.
• Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and guide the nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekend nursing operations across the facility.
• Ensure high-quality, compassionate resident care per plans.
• Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Perform resident assessments and assist with meds as needed.
• Monitor condition changes and ensure follow-up.
• Communicate with physicians, families, and the team.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and care coordination.
• Ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as clinical resource for weekend staff.

Weekend Warrior Schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of nursing operations throughout the weekend

• Ensure residents receive high-quality, compassionate care in accordance with their individualized plans of care

• Supervise, support, and provide guidance to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs

• Perform resident assessments and assist with medications, treatments, and documentation as needed

• Monitor residents for changes in condition and ensure appropriate follow-up

• Communicate effectively with physicians, families, nursing leadership, and the interdisciplinary team

• Assist with admissions, discharges, and care coordination

• Ensure compliance with facility policies and state and federal regulations

• Serve as a clinical resource and point of support for the weekend nursing team
