Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for Ambulatory Care in the Walk-In Care team in Damariscotta. The role focuses on providing high-quality nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation while coordinating with physicians and APPs to deliver timely care.

Ideal candidates have an accredited nursing education, an RN license, and BLS; one year of RN experience is required. The position offers growth opportunities and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Current RN license in the applicable state and BLS certification required or within 30 days of start.
  • One year of RN experience required; automatic advancement criteria described in role.
  • Additional notes: not applicable to other specializations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality ambulatory nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Assist physicians/APPs in delivering care to patients in the ambulatory setting.
  • Support patient navigation and education across the Walk-In Care visits.

Summary:
The MH Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care role provides high quality care to patients and families calling or presenting for care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice.
MH RN II: This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level included automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I – must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).

The pay range for this position is $34.35to $46.46 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
