MaineHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Special Care Unit. This is a Full-time, 36 hour/week, Day shift position within the 8-bed ICU/Step-Down unit where nurses conduct complex assessments and deliver intensive therapies to diverse patients.
The RN II role builds on RN I experience, with automatic advancement after one year given ongoing good standing. Benefits and a supportive, collaborative team are offered.
This is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience
For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of RN experience and $20,000 for Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of RN work experience!

Unit Bio:
The Special Care Unit is an 8-bed ICU/Step-Down Unit, where nurses are responsible for conducting complex assessments and providing intensive therapies and interventions to a variety of patients. Nurses have the opportunity to care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory failure, cardiac events, sepsis, metabolic disorders, complex surgical recoveries, and more. This department has a great collaborative team with the ancillary departments and the physicians/surgeons.
The MH Registered Nurse (RN I) role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
The MH Registered Nurse RN II role is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level includes automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I – must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.

The pay range for this position is $37.09to $50.17 per hour.
Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
