Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ is seeking a Telemetry Intermediate Care Stepdown (IMCU) Registered Nurse for the night shift. This full-time position focuses on delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The RN will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, perform the nursing process, manage patient monitoring, and support families while promoting safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Active NJ RN license and 1+ year Med/Surg RN experience.
• ACL S/PALS within first three months of employment.
• BLS required within 14 days of hire.
• Ability to initiate IV therapy, EKG and phlebotomy.

Responsibilities:

The Registered Nursewill be responsible forpromoting and restoring patient health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends and families and supervising assigned team members.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 1+ year of experience as an RN in Med/Surg setting
• Current valid NJ State professional Registered Nurse license.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)(obtainable within the first three months of employment).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support(PALS)(obtainable within the first three months of employment).
• Successful completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Training.
• Ability to initiate IV therapy, blood specimen collection, point of care testing, perform EKG, phlebotomy (skills obtainable within the first three months of employment).
• Ability to manage a patient’s airway including us of mechanical ventilation.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Experience with Epic.
• 1+ year of experience as an RN in a hospital PACU or Critical Care Unit

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
