Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ, is seeking a night shift, full-time Telemetry Intermediate Care Stepdown (IMCU) Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team.

The role requires an ADN, 1+ year Med/Surg RN, NJ license, and ACLS/PALS obtainable within 3 months; BLS within 14 days. Epic experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• ACLS & PALS certification obtainable within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Promote and restore patient health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide physical and psychological support to patients, families, and friends; supervise assigned team members.
• Coordinate care and communicate effectively within the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse will be responsible for promoting and restoring patient health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends and families and supervising assigned team members.

Job Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 1+ year of experience as an RN in Med/Surg setting
• Current valid NJ State professional Registered Nurse license
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)(obtainable within the first three months of employment).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support(PALS)(obtainable within the first three months of employment).
• Successful completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Training.
• Ability to initiate IV therapy, blood specimen collection, point of care testing, perform EKG, phlebotomy (skills obtainable within the first three months of employment).
• Ability to manage a patient’s airway including us of mechanical ventilation.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Experience with Epic.
• 1+ year of experience as an RN in a hospital PACU or Critical Care Unit

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
