Job summary

Brookside Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Abington, PA is seeking a dedicated RN Supervisor to lead nursing services on our long-term care unit.

Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, medication administration, staff supervision, and collaboration with the Director of Nursing; a generous sign-on bonus and supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Pennsylvania State Board.
• CPR certification is required.
• Experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Compassionate and caring demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Completion of nursing assessments, transfers, discharges, treatment plans, progress notes, medication reconciliation, medication administration, and vitals.
• Conveys accurate information to unit nursing staff in a supportive manner.
• Seeks supervision and direction from a physician as needed.
• Assist the medical doctor as needed.
• Attend and participate in departmental staff meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Orientation of new employees to unit policies and procedures.
• Oversee direct care staff and support staffing with the Director of Nursing.

As an RN SUPERVISOR, the expectations would be:

• Completion of nursing assessments, transfers, discharges, treatment plans, progress notes, medication reconciliation, medication administration, and vitals.

• Conveys accurate information in a supportive and courteous manner to the unit nursing staff

• Seeks out supervision and direction from a physician.

• Assist the medical doctor as needed

• Attend and actively participate in departmental staff meetings.

• Maintain confidentiality and proper boundaries.

• Orientation of new employees to unit-specific policies and procedures

• Must have Knowledge of HIPAA laws, confidentiality, state licensing regulations, CPR, AED, and First Aid.

• Oversight and serve as a resource to the direct care staff

• Support to the Director of Nursing and Unit Managers with staffing and activities as assigned

• Direct patient care when necessary and/or assigned

RN SUPERVISOR Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse RN by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

• CPR Certification

• Experience is preferred in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing.

• Must possess a compassionate and caring demeanor
