Job summary

Sovah Pediatrics in Danville, VA, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality pediatric care on a Monday–Friday schedule. You will perform plan of care interventions, administer medications, document care, and monitor patient conditions as part of a collaborative care team.

The ideal candidate holds an active Virginia RN license (or compact) and an ASN in nursing, with BSN preferred. Comprehensive benefits and ongoing professional development support are offered.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license.
• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral and psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
