Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license.
• Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Relocation licensure updated to PSOR before employment begins.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care provided and monitors patient condition.
• Assists with activities of daily living and supports families.
• Coordinates care across disciplines, including transfers and discharges.
• Provides age-appropriate patient/family education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Maintains communication with care team, physicians and families.

Sovah Pediatrics is looking for a Registered Nurse to be the friendly face that welcomes families into our practice and supports them throughout their visit. How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN)who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.Associate's degree in nursing required.
