Job summary

The Laurels of Carrollton is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting. You will coordinate care, supervise LPNs and CNAs, and ensure safe medication administration while collaborating with the medical team.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in long-term care, current Ohio RN licensure, and CPR certification. The role emphasizes compassionate care, patient safety, and teamwork within our facility.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care and health education for residents.
• Supervise LPNs, CNAs/STNAs, and other care team members.
• Provide safe, accurate medication-related interventions and notify physicians of changes.
• Assess resident health and implement care plans including new orders.
• Develop and implement care plans and coding for MDS/CAA assessments.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, provides and manages nursing care, services and health education to nursing home guests.

• Supervise the care/services provided by the LPNs, CNAs/STNAs and other team members who care for guests.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions to guests.
• Assess the health of guests and notify the physician of changes in status; promptly implement new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize a guest’s condition and/or prevent complications.
• Contribute to guest assessments (MDS/CAA’s) and the development of a plan of care.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a long-term care setting preferred
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state
• CPR certification
