Job summary

Maria Parham Health is seeking an RN for Inpatient Rehab on weekend nights (Fri-Sun or Sat-Sun-Mon) at Maria Parham Hospital in Henderson, NC. You will provide comprehensive nursing care, administer medications, document care, and coordinate with the care team to support patient recovery.

The role requires NC RN licensure, an ASN, and BLS certification; BSN preferred. A $20,000 commitment bonus is offered for a two-year commitment, with full-time night shifts and strong teamwork expectations.

Qualifications

• Requires strong critical thinking, decisive judgement and the ability to perform under pressure.
• RN must hold current NC license and ASN degree; BSN preferred for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including meds, treatments and procedures.
• Documents all patient care actions accurately.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and transfers.

Essential Functions

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Assures quality of care by measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards.
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across a variety of patient needs
• Utilize your clinical expertise to guide and implement individualized plans of care
• Serve as a patient-care innovator, using the latest technology and best practices
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
• Bachelor's degree (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
• One year of RN experience (preferred, but not required)
• Active North Carolina RN license (single state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins
