Job summary

Novant Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Pulmonary Care Unit to deliver individualized patient care for those with complex respiratory and medical conditions.

You will work with physicians, respiratory therapists, and a broad care team to plan, implement, and reassess care plans, ensuring evidence-based treatments and discharge instructions are communicated clearly.

Qualifications

  • One year relevant experience, preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • Acute care nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
  • Passion for helping patients achieve recovery goals and improve quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
  • Care for patients with COPD, asthma, pneumonia, respiratory failure, pulmonary embolism, and other respiratory conditions.
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with established standards of care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
  • Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care that promotes optimal health outcomes.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience:One year relevant experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/certification/registration:Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • Acute care nursing experience preferred
