Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 24-bed Pulmonary Care Unit in a fast-paced setting. You will care for patients with respiratory and medical conditions, working with physicians, respiratory therapists, and an interdisciplinary team to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

RN licensure in good standing in the appropriate state.
Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred; graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Minimum one year of relevant experience preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Care for patients with COPD, asthma, pneumonia, respiratory failure, pulmonary embolism, and other respiratory conditions.
Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status.
Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per standards of care.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care that promotes optimal health outcomes.
