Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions.
• Monitor patient condition and document care in the EMR.
• Respond to psychiatric crises using de-escalation techniques.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, and the care team.

Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides compassionate, evidence-based care to patients with behavioral health and psychiatric conditions.

• Assess patients and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions.
• Monitor patient condition and document care in the EMR.
• Respond to psychiatric crises using appropriate de‑escalation and intervention techniques.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups and provide patient education.
• Implement seclusion and restraint procedures in accordance with policy when clinically indicated.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, social workers, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, coping strategies, and discharge planning.
• Promote patient safety, recovery, and positive clinical outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING1.
• Must have current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.2.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3.
• Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.4.
• Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.5.
