Job summary

Centerpoint - Winchester is seeking an Registered Nurse (RN) for the Advanced Care Unit to provide high‑quality patient care on a night shift. You will administer medications, perform treatments, document care, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe transitions.

The role requires active RN license in Kentucky, an associate degree (with bachelor’s preferred), and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. Sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license in Kentucky
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required
• KY RN licensure or compact licensure required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• BLS within 10 days of hire
• ACLS within 30 days of hire
• PALS within 45 days of hire
• Handle With Care within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Document all patient care delivered.
• Monitor and communicate patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Coordinate transfers, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support across disciplines.
• Provide education appropriate to patient age, culture, and condition.
• Advocate for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.

Centerpoint - Winchester (formerly Clark Regional Medical Center) is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. We recently expanded our intensive care unit by 75% and added six new beds, as well as an expanded Advanced Care Unit (ACU) and space for a new surgical suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Document all patient care delivered.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living: personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual or psychosocial support.
• Evaluate patient and family learning needs and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required).
• KY RN state licensure or compact licensure (required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 10 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 45 days of hire.
• Handle With Care within 30 days of hire.
