Job summary

Valley View Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical-Surgical care on the night shift. The role emphasizes medication administration, patient monitoring, and collaborative care with the team in a smaller hospital setting. A retention bonus is available for well-qualified applicants.

Applicants should hold a current RN license and an Associate's Degree; BSN is preferred. CPR/BLS is required within 30 days of hire; ACLS/PALS are preferred, with about one year of experience

• Current state RN license is required.
• Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS preferred; one year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, andClinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

How you'll contribute

Medical Surgical (RN), who excels in this role:

What we're looking for
